This update shifts our rules in a different direction, with a nice DevolvedAdmin change, as well as revamps our current maps & the mapvoting itself.

  • The rules have been changed immensly, be sure to read through them! http://devolved.us/tttrules
  • When a player is slain, kicked, or banned it will log it (was going to log the rest, but I thought it'd be too much).
  • You can now right click > "View History" on players to view the above information, if you are staff.
  • Maps on the server have been cleaned up. Some removed, some armed, some added.
  • Every few mapvotes, the system will automatically force the least played maps to be on the list.
  • Fixed the Anticheat blocking some chat commands
  • Instead of mapvote going into negative time when database is missing or a map is corrupted/etc., it will catch it and reset the mapvote. (hopefully)
  • Fixed errors with !showrules and !motd and commands that opened the rules menu

I have to say jack, the rules have been major improved.

I think this is going to work out quite well.

BTW, have month+ bans been around for long or did you just add them?

They've been out.  It's just they aren't commonly used.

Instead of a month ban, people tended to just get permabanned before by that point :\

Honestly I think ghosting, hacking should be permanent after/for the 3rd ban. 2 chances is more than enough for something so blatently wrong IMO.

Sorry, but everyone gets a chance at redemption now. We aren't ever giving out permabans.
The ban times are still very adjustable - it could be that the offenses are ramped up an extra couple months for ghosting. We'll see how it goes.
But even so, 4 months is a lot of time not to see someone, and if they break the rule again you won't see them for another 4 months. That's quite awhile.

Also that rule is like 99% for ghosting, hacking really shouldn't apply unless someone is using a C++ hack (which are obvious) or know what they are doing to bypass the anticheat.
